Filled with hilarious comedy, this book was created just to pump laughs out of bored children. This book is a must-have for any vacation. Get bored on the airplane to easily? Don't like the in-flight games or movies? Pop out Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and your boredom will immediately dissapear. It's also a great introduction to novels for kids who hate long books. And even better, it is written in the kids' point of view, which is also great.
So why exactly is Diary of a Wimpy Kid so funny? It's certainly from the author's colourful imagination. The author appears to be very skilled at creating jokes, and he put those jokes at all the right places in the book to make it realistic, and funny. Plus, since this book is a diary, it gives you the thrill of peeking into other people's private stuff without permission. I really, really love this book!
